Parking lot assault investigated as possible elder abuse case

A man in his seventies was struck in the head while walking to his car in a parking lot on El Camino Real north of Leland Avenue in Palo Alto around 6:17 p.m. on July 24. The victim suffered a bleeding head wound and was transported to a local hospital.
