RE:Writing a wayland compositor

Long story short, I've taken interest in writing a wayland compositor in Rust via smithay, but documentation is not-newbie friendly. Additional details: Reading the docs so far, I can see it caters developers who already know a lot or have experienced working with wayland already, more than being a how-to tutorial.
