Monterey County Couple Pleads No Contest, Settles Lawsuit Over Housing 270 Tenants In Illegal Units

The owners of a Monterey County nursery, who also face jail time for tax evasion, agreed to pay $800,000 in penalties and restitution after 270 workers were found living in illegal and unsafe makeshift units there in 2023.
