Closure of dedicated classroom for hospitalized BUSD students called a ‘painful loss’

Hospitalized teens at Alta Bates Medical Center are now receiving instruction in a multipurpose dayroom, after the classroom — which had a large library, desks and whiteboard — was quietly shut down late last school year.
