Suspect In Oakland Shootout and Arson Was Convicted Sex Offender With Parole Violations

The suspect in Sunday's dramatic shootout with Oakland police, who had allegedly been threatening a woman and who subsequently set fire to an abandoned house, was released from prison last year after serving 20 years.
