New contributor looking for guidance on my first CPython contribution

Hi everyone, I’m a student/developer interested in contributing to CPython and I’d like to start with a beginner-friendly issue. I’m comfortable with Python and Git/GitHub, but I’m new to contributing to CPython itself. I’d appreciate some guidance on: how to choose a suitable first issue, how to find a mentor or experienced contributor, and what I should learn before attempting my first PR. I’m particularly interested in contributing code rather than only documentation. Thanks!
