Lazygit's M Key Hides Four Merge Options — Here's the Git History Each One Leaves Behind

The lazygit TUI gives four merge options via the M key. Each runs the same merge, but leaves a different commit graph. I reproduced each one in a throwaway repo and read the graphs. Here's each option, what it does to history, and the two git log commands that show the shape of any repo's past merges.
