Exit code 137: was it really out of memory? Find who sent the SIGKILL

Exit code 137 only says the main process got SIGKILL. How to tell the kernel OOM killer from docker kill, a timed-out stop or something else on the host, and why OOMKilled can be false even when memory was the cause.
