Gnome auto adding invalid printer queues

I’ve seen variations of this mentioned but any solutions found have not matched my requirements. I had a problem with printers being added in Gnome by network discovery but they were invalid and I could not use them to print. The proper NixOS way is obviously to define these printers declaratively which I did do however then the printers just doubled up. I’ve set services.printing.browsed.enable = false but that was not enough. The only way I found to disable this auto-discovery is services.av...
