Panic on attempting to access union payload

Hello, I’m currently losing my mind. I’m attempting to use this lovely windowing library, following these instructions to access the wayland API. However, any attempt to access the .backend union with any value results in an immediate panic throwing invalid enum value, and I have no idea why. I assume it would fail to compile if the union was actually being accessed incorrectly, and inspecting the type shows the correct field_names, but accessing it at runtime, be it the correct one (.wayland i...
