[Devlog] A Survival Game — New combat, scoring, bunker systems, and a lot of improvements!
Hey everyone! After a long time without posting, I’m back with a new devlog about my indie game, A Survival Game! It’s a card-based survival strategy game made with Godot, featuring stickmen, resource management, monsters, and plenty of chaotic situations. I’ve just released a new update, and here’s what I’ve been working on: Gameplay: - Added a Score System. - Introduced a Bunker Power Monitor mechanic. - Revamped the combat system. - Added a new dinosaur creature: the Allosaurus. - Added new mechanics and gameplay balancing changes. UI and systems: - Re-textured parts of the game. - Created a new HUD and refreshed menus. - Added a new Settings System. - Implemented Portuguese and English language support. - Made additional fixes and adjustments. I’m also planning the next release as a paid, definitive edition, potentially featuring global leaderboards and further improvements. I’m exploring a possible Steam release too, but it’s not confirmed. This project has been a learning experience, and I’m happy to finally share another major update after being away for a while. Game page: https://danielgamedev14.itch.io/a-survival-game [https://danielgamedev14.itch.io/a-survival-game] I’d appreciate feedback, especially from other developers: what do you think makes a survival game update feel meaningful, and what would you prioritize for a future definitive edition? Thanks for checking it out!
