A search in our app has three identities, and the one we send over HTTP is the one that moves

The same saved search is a position in an array to the API, a URL to the monitor, and a hostname to the saved browser session. Three keys with three lifetimes, one store that translates between them, and a 404 guard that exists because of one real bug.
