Sass-embedded error when trying to use Jekyll

I am precisely following the guide here: Run Jekyll locally on NixOS | Wout , but I’m on an Intel Mac. EDIT: Using nixpkgs 26.05. Method 2 of the guide shows how to resolve some issues that arise with the sass-embedded gem, but there seem to still be issues with it on my end. On step 8 of method 2, I get the following error.
