Our comparison pages tell the reader September and the crawler October, and both dates are true

A page that makes claims about a competitor's product carries two freshness facts: when we last edited the page, and when we last read their pages. Our sitemap publishes the first and the page body prints the second. Five of our comparison URLs now disagree by a month, and the reason is a copy change about our own product.
