Our example env file documents 19 variables, the code reads 15 of them, and its longest comment describes a design we deleted

An audit of .env.example against every process.env read in a two-package Next.js project. Four documented variables are never read by the app, for four different reasons, one credential is used only as a boolean, and the variable the production server actually listens on is documented in neither file.
