Our bot's $10 exposure limit held $18.60 after one restart: kill switch fixes

We retrofitted a kill switch and position limits onto a small Kalshi and Polymarket US quoter, then drilled it on a mock exchange with live prices: a limit that reset on restart, a daily-loss stop nothing called, amends that skipped every check, and a shutdown that said 'closed' when it wasn't.
